EUROPEAN SHOTOKAN KARATE-DO ASSOCIATION The ESKA was started in 1986 (Ghent, Belgium). At the request of the countries taking part in the former organisation EAKF (European Amateur Karate Federation) an alternative organisation was set up. ESKA is a fully democratic (non-political) organisation formed to foster and develop traditional Shotokan competition around Europe. ESKA
championships are held every
year at the end of November /
beginning of December.
